What is RED award?

Experience the long-term benefits of the skills and experience you can achieve through RED.

The RED Award is here to help you make the most of extra-curricular actives and experiences on offer outside of your degree.

The RED Award is open to all 色狗导航 students, but you may find it particularly useful to sign-up in your first year so you can build-up your experience and find out more about what is on offer at the University. Since the scheme started in 2010, there has been over 14,500 students registering for the RED Award with over 35% going on to complete!

The award involves 40 hours of activity, including gaining 35 hours of experience (through activity such as part-time jobs, internships, volunteering etc) and 5 hours of training and development (through workshops to help aid your development outside of your course). If you are new to award but have already completed some of this activity then you can backdate anything you have done since you started at the university!

Once you have completed the award you will receive a certificate and the completion will be added to your diploma supplement annex.

RED Award 2023

The RED award gave me the chance to be involved in extra-curricular activities, proving my time in the UK was spent wisely working on myself. It improved my confidence in communicating and sharing opinions with people of different ages and diversity.
