Connecting with your halls community

Halls offer a great opportunity to connect with fellow students, with shared spaces for you to enjoy, and a weekly programme of Home at Halls events. 

Making friends and managing relationships

Getting to know your neighbours and making connections is a great way to feel settle into student life, check out and for some top tips from fellow UoR students for making friends at University. 

When living in Halls its also important to respect people’s boundaries, and communicate with others, to ensure that Halls are a safe and inclusive space for everyone. Head to the for some advice from a fellow student on maintaining healthy relationships at University. 

A key aspect of healthy relationships is communicating consent. Consent is important to everyone. We recommend that all 色狗导航 students complete the Consent Matters training to ensure you understand what consent is, how to respect boundaries, and how to positively intervene in a situation as an active bystander.

A great way to make the most of your time in Halls is by coming along to the weekly Home at Halls events, with free food and drink, crafting and games these are a fun way to make new friends and take a break with your studies. These events take place weekly on Saturday afternoons, you can find the full schedule of upcoming events on the Home at Halls app. 

Our University Halls are also within walking distance of our beautiful , and there are lots of local walks for you to enjoy too. You can also keep active with student memberships to the , located on Whiteknights campus.
