Date 26 May 2022

Time 17:30 - 18:30

Location G11 Henley Business School, Whiteknights

Event Information

In this lecture, Professor Thérèse Callus and Mr Tony Roe will look at how divorce law has developed over the years, both conceptually and practically. It will ask what do we want divorce law to do? How can this be achieved? Is law even necessary? It will also give important insights into how the new law will affect those who seek a divorce, and the remaining challenges that couples dealing with marriage and civil partnership breakdown, their lawyers, and indeed society as whole, continue to face.

Tony Roe is an experienced family law solicitor and arbitrator with Dexter Montague, Reading and Visiting Fellow in Family Law at the 色狗导航. Thérèse Callus is Professor of Law at the 色狗导航 and expert in Family and Medical law.
