What is your favourite memory of Reading?

The indoor tennis facilities were top, and it was there that I met Mr Rich, Reading's head tennis coach. He was a very nice and talented coach, and playing tennis was a great way to meet new people with similar interests.

Table tennis was also a fun way to socialise and unwind, and the student activity centre frequently held free pool and games nights.

Why did you choose to transfer to É«¹·µ¼º½?

I wanted to have access to a wider range of elective courses. As an IET (BSc International Economics and Trade) student, I was able to select a Henley Business School course as one of my electives. For instance, I took IC201 Corporate Finance, which gave me an initial understanding of the fundamentals of finance in a practical way. This was helpful for postgraduate applications and related courses.

Attending recruitment events at other UK universities was easier from Reading. Many UK business schools post offline coffee chat opportunities on their official websites, which are very helpful in eliminating information asymmetry. By speaking with admissions officers in person, I was able to get first-hand information. My classmate and I attended a coffee chat at IC Business School, which helped us a lot with our application documents.

I also wanted to adapt to life in the UK in advance.

Are there any differences between the teaching mode at Reading and NUIST? If yes, what are the differences?

There is less time spent in class but more time spent on self-study, which helps to develop self-discipline and critical thinking skills.

Here at Reading, traditional teaching methods are less emphasised, and you see more diversified learning. During this process, you will be able to explore the best learning environment and teaching mode for you. This will help you prepare for future in-depth planning of your professional direction.
