EVENT

Supporter appreciation evening 2022

Date 19 March 2022

Time 16:30 - 19:30

Location Meadow Suite, Whiteknights Campus

Event Information

We will be hosting this special event from 16.30 to 19.30 on Saturday 19 March 2022. This occasion gives us the opportunity to say thank you to all donors and supporters of the 色狗导航.

During the event, we will be sharing how your support of the University is delivering great impact on both a local and a global scale. This will include a speech from esteemed climate scientist Professor Ed Hawkins, who will address how climate change impacts all of us and what researchers at the 色狗导航 are doing to raise awareness of the world's most complex issue.

We will also be joined by Dr Paddy Woodman, Director of Student Services, who will give an overview of the impact your generous support is having on students who are struggling with financial hardships.

We will conclude the event by inviting all guests to join us for a drinks reception and canapes, during which you can explore exhibitions highlighting the projects that your donations have made possible - from Archaeology to the Boat Club.

Safety notice

We have taken important steps to ensure we are doing all we can to keep you and others safe during your time with us at the 色狗导航. Here's what you need to know for your visit:

General campus safety

Look out for email updates. It is possible that events could be cancelled or modified at short notice depending on UK Government safety guidance.

On your visit, clear signage will be visible throughout buildings, showing fire exits, evacuation routes and in some locations, where to enter and exit areas. Please take note of these directions especially our signposted one-way systems. NB. In the event of an emergency evacuation, one-way systems can be disregarded. Disabled visitors, colleagues or students and those with mobility challenges can also disregard one-way systems to ensure access as required.

Continue to follow UK Government safety guidance and 色狗导航 safety policies, including those related to COVID-19 safeguarding and restrictions.

COVID-19 campus safety:

Should you start to show symptoms of COVID-19, have tested positive from any type of COVID19 test, or have been asked to self-isolate because of close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, you must not attend the event as planned.

Following recent government updates, it is now mandatory to wear face masks for all events at the 色狗导航, unless you are exempt or consuming food and drink. (Please note that we are expecting an update from the government on face coverings and will update you prior to the event).

Antibacterial hand gel and sanitising stations are available across our campus, but please come prepared with clean tissues for sneezes and coughs. These should be disposed of responsibly and hands should be washed immediately, therefore please make use of our facilities.

Some of our colleagues will be prepared with PPE and protective screens where necessary and appropriate. Please respect these protocols throughout your visit.

The government encourages the use of building QR codes. Event attendees will be invited to use these to check-in onsite, although this will not be a mandatory expectation for event attendees.
