  • Professor Hannah Cloke (Geography/Meteorology) is quoted by (and in print), , , , , , , , , , , , , and others on the health risks associated with heatwaves;  on necessary collective action to cut water waste during the drought; on the changing definition of UK heatwaves, and  on low water levels in rivers. 
  • Dr Rob Thompson (Meteorology) was interviewed by  on the damaging effects of the current drought and heatwaves;  reposted. BBC Radio Essex and  report his online video showing how droughts impact surface water run-off.
