The 色狗导航 and Reading Football Club have been jointly shortlisted for the Sustainability in Sport Award at the Sports Business Awards 2022.
The nomination recognises the impact of the #ShowYourStripes campaign, which has seen the climate stripes, developed by Professor Ed Hawkins at the 色狗导航 incorporated into the home and away kits for Reading FC’s men’s and women’s teams for the 2022/23 season.
The climate stripes visually demonstrate the rising temperatures in Berkshire over the last 150 years, and have previously featured in fashion, festivals and art exhibitions.
This joint campaign between two of Reading’s most well-known organisations set out to create conversations about climate change, and achieved this as the kit launch received global media coverage and fans took to social media to discuss the design and its meaning on launch day.
