Global Sustainability Leaders Scholarship

Our exciting new undergraduate scholarship scheme is focused on creating a community of global sustainability leaders of the future.

From 2025, up to 300 scholarships are available, per year, for high-achieving students from the UK and overseas. Each scholar will receive £6,000 a year, for up to four years of full-time study on their course (subject to terms and conditions), for maintenance and living costs.

IFP Ambassador Scholarships

Applications for IFP Ambassador Scholarships are open to all non-sponsored, international-fee paying International Foundation Programme (IFP) students.

Reading Excellence Scholarship - Undergraduate 2025/26

100 scholarships of £4,000 each are available to international undergraduate students. Before applying for the Reading Excellence Scholarship - Undergraduate, please read our Guidance on Completing the Scholarship Application Form for useful information about the application process.

The deadlines are:

  • round 1 - 10 April 2025
  • round 2 - 10 July 2025.

Key information:

  • To apply for funding, a candidate must have received an offer of admission to one of our undergraduate courses (including 4-year integrated Foundation Year or integrated Masters courses) for entry in the academic year 2025/26. The scholarship application form will be made available to eligible students via the , and will be accessible up until the closing date.
  • The scholarship will take the form of a tuition fee reduction of £4,000 and is applied for each year of study.
  • Recipients must be classified by the University as an International student for fees purposes. 
  • Scholarships are awarded primarily based on previous academic accomplishment.

Full terms and conditions are published with the application form and in submitting a scholarship application the candidate is deemed to have read and agreed to the terms and conditions.

 

Built Environment Undergraduate Scholarships FOR 2025 entry

Undergraduate students joining the School of the Built Environment in 2025 may be eligible for a £1,000 scholarship for each year of study (subject to conditions for 2025 entry).

Reading Real Estate Foundation bursary

Reading Real Estate Foundation (RREF) provides a range of undergraduate bursaries and hardship grants to students who will not be able to complete the course without financial assistance. 

RREF also provides a travel bursary of up to £1,000 for undergraduate students based on based on a demonstration of financial need due to undertaking a study abroad placement. Information about the RREF Travel Bursary can be found on our . 

É«¹·µ¼º½ Sanctuary Scholarships

The É«¹·µ¼º½ welcomes all students with the academic ability to succeed on our degree programmes, regardless of their background, and is committed to supporting those who face barriers to accessing university. This includes sanctuary seekers (people with refugee, humanitarian protected or asylum seeker status) who we support through our Sanctuary Scholarships scheme, which helps with the costs of higher education through bursaries and fee waivers.

pwc flying start degree bursary

PwC are offering £10,000 bursaries to students joining the BA Accounting and Business – The Flying Start Degree Programme. The bursary is available to support living costs.

The Lorna Webber Vipond Arts Scholarship

The Lorna Webber Vipond Arts Scholarship was created following the untimely death of Lorna Webber (nee Vipond), a much-loved local artist and teacher. One scholarship of £4,000 (£1,000 for each year of study) is available to support a local UK undergraduate student studying art at the É«¹·µ¼º½.
