Welcome to your annual mentoring planner! Each month, we've outlined key talking points to help you and your mentor stay on track, set meaningful goals, and reflect on your progress. From getting to know each other to personal development and career exploration, this planner will keep you organised and motivated, ensuring a productive and fulfilling mentoring experience.

Month 1 - First Meeting

First meeting and getting to know your mentor.

Month 2 - Career Motivations

Talking to your mentor about your skills and getting their advice on how you can develop yourself can be useful to support you with your next steps.

Month 3 - Job Compatibility

It is now month three of your Thrive mentoring partnership, and this talking point focuses on exploring job compatibility.

Month 4 - CVs and Covering Letters

Getting your mentor鈥檚 advice on your CV and Cover Letter can be a daunting activity, but your mentor is there to help you, and is not expecting your CV and cover letter to be the finished article.

Month 5 - Identifying Transferable Skills

This month鈥檚 focus is all on identifying your transferable skills, and reflecting on skills you have built through your time on Thrive.

Month 6 - Mock Interviews

Interviews are a crucial part of the selection process, so practising your interview technique will give you the best chance of securing a job in the future.

Month 7 - Facing Set Backs

You are now at month seven of your Thrive mentoring partnership, this talking point will focus on persevering in your search for experience and scribbly career paths.

Month 8 - Reflecting on Your Partnership

As the scheme comes to a close at the end of June, we wanted to give you an opportunity to reflect with your mentor on what you have learnt and look forward to what you might go on to do.

Month 9 - Continue Networking

How to leverage your networking skills gained through mentoring partnership with your Thrive mentor.

Month 10 - Concluding Your Partnership

To conclude the talking points we wanted to help you send that last message or arrange your last mentoring meeting.
